Custom Turf took the opportunity to sponsor a great cause by donating money to pay for the t-shirts that were worn during the Dirty Girl Mud Run Buffalo 5k. A portion of registration fees supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
This women-only event took place on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Elegant Builders Raceway Park in Lancaster, NY. The Dirty Girl is unlike any other 5k most people have ever herd of. This muddy course has 11 military-inspired obstacles that are designed for fun and for women of all fitness levels. Some of the obstacle courses included the Utopian Tubes Tunnel Crawl, the PMS (Pretty Muddy Stuff) mud pit and the Dirty Dancing giant slide.
This truly one-of-a-kind event not only raised money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, but it also raised a lot of awareness in an active way.
